Tips to promote and market your blogs and websites
If you thing that writing a topic is ‘ALL’ then you are wrong, I agreed that ‘content is king’ but we need much more to do to make our post popular. I am sharing my checklist with you. If you haven’t read the part one of this series please go back and read it first.

- Add proper TAGS to your post

Tags are considered as Keywords by most of the search engines, Also it helps readers to group the topics of their interest.

- Reuse TAGS when ever possible

This helps in optimizing the keywords and arranging the content in an order

- Proof Read your post for corrections if any

If you are writing the article, let some one else review it. This helps to keep your blog error free.

- Make title more attractive

Titles are so important to your blog and its the key for your Search engine optimization.This attract your readers.

- Write a description which is densely populated with keywords

Make sure you have a nice keyword rich description in place.

- Insert your advertisements (any way that keeps you running )

Insert your advertisements in proper places , Google suggest it on top left corner and try to have at least one banner Advertisement.

- Insert your subscription script at the end of your post

Yet another source of readers are Email and RSS subscribers so go for it !!

- create an attractive permalink

Permalink  plays a great role in optimization, so do have a meaningful permalink.

Yes now we are ready to PUBLISH your post . Make sure you are all done with the above steps. You are publishing your post which may attract readers for years to come, Keep in mind !

Publish in Social networking sites

Publish your post in Digg
Publish your post in Twitter
Bookmark your post in delicious
Actively participate in forums and discussion forms
Yahoo Answers will drive some traffic to you , so be there too.

Write comments

Comments helps in its own way so do comment on other blogs genuinely
