What is going to change from May 2009

Effective May 1, 2009, the RHCE exam would be undergoing a major change in format and delivery mechanism. However the mode of the exam I.e., Performance Based Testing remains the same. Following are the changes under the new format called RHCEng (pronounced as R-H-C-E engee) 1.All test items will be presented in the electronic format and the documents handled electronically. The Red Hat would abstain using hard copies of documents. 2.One key element that will be removed from the exam is installation. The exam candidates will be provided with pre-installed systems hence reducing the length of the exam time. 3.The RHCE Exam will now become a single section lasting 3 & 1/2 hours. The exam will cover essentially the same skills previously tested. Only difference is the candidates’ time being used more efficiently and tasks re-organized into a single section. For information and FAQs on RHCEng you can please visit http://www.redhat.com/certification/faq/
