How to be successful on blogging | my finding | my learning

I was just going through some of the old articles on Problogger.net and  noticed an interesting fact which I would like to share with the readers.
When I was reading some articles posted on 2005, I was very curious to know, what is the current status of bloggers who were very active at that time.For that one easy method I selected is as follows.

1. Selected a popular article from problogger.net which was published on 2005
2. Gone thru the comments and analysis whether they are activly publishing the post
3. Result is published after analyzing 250 random entries of same criteria.

Entires are selected from the comments which were posted on 2005.

Following are the findings

46% of the bloggers are still active and posting on a very regular basic.
30% of the bloggers are not on blog sphere, or they may have discontinued there domain or switched to a different niche
10% of the bloggers are not posting anything from 2007, even this can be considered as discontinues since almost all of them are blogspot bloggers.
14% of the bloggers are not posting anything for last 6-8 months.

Conclusion

What does these figures mean? , I think blogging needs dedication and a passion towards it.If so it can be run sucessfully and not short route for success.
