What is new in windows 7 | Windows 7 feature list reviewed

As per Microsoft, Windows 7 is build around the feedback, so we can expect many of the features which were missing in earlier versions.

Windows 7 Features

Improved Taskbar

Taskbar had gone thru a major makeover. We can place any programs to taskbar so that it would be just a click away. Icons are of bigger size now. On mouse over it shows the thumbnail too. It got a fancy look now.

Jump lists

Its the new thing which got introduced on windows 7. Just right click on the icons at taskbar and it will open a jump list menu. It contains recently open documents , quick access to frequently used tasks , last played music etc.

Enhanced Desktop

Desktop experience had changed tremendously, Do you want to make your active window transparent? , Do you want to re size two active windows to same size ? YES we can do it all there in Windows 7. Need to minimize all the windows except one , its just a shake away ? Yes I mean shake .. Shake your windows once and all the other windows will get minimized. Isn’t it fun !!!

Windows Search

Now we have an integrated search for anything and everything you need including email search , file search , music search . If you miss a spoon at your kitchen you can search it here

Internet Explorer 8

As always we have a new version of IE

Improved Device Manager

Tons of new devices are supported now, New technology called device stage make device management much easier.

HomeGroup

You have multiple computers at home , getting connected to those is no more a pain , all taken care automatically by HomeGroup.

Windows Touch

Windows 7  introduces support for new multi-touch technology, so you can control what happens on the screen with more than one finger. example functions like zoom , rotate etc.
