How to publish post on a future date / time – scheduling post

Some days it is so dry and I don’t have much to write where as other days may be bombarded with ideas and I have a lot to write. But I need to give a consistent performance which will give a nice feeling to my readers and search engine bots. WordPress gives an option for us to schedule posts for future dates so that if you have more to write just prepare the article and follow the steps below.

After preparing the article instead of publishing the article , you need to click on edit button just near to  “Publish immediately”

Fill in your scheduled time and date and click OK

Once you click OK , Publish button will turn to Schedule

Now your post will be published at the scheduled time , you don’t need to manually login and publish.

Advantages of scheduled publish

• Frequency of Post can be standardized
• Search bots would consider that posts are published at a consistent rate
• No need to remember to login and publish the post at a future date
• Announcements  on a particular date can be prepared well in advance
