Apple patching SMS vulnerability on iPhone

iphone-softwareApple is working to fix a iPhone bug which allows attackers to install and run unauthorized code by hackers remotely.
The lucky partĀ  is, this vulnerability is identified by Charlie Miller who is the security researcher at Apple Inc.If the details were leaked out to public , it allows attacker to run software on iPhone which is send by a SMS . SMSĀ  code would include commands to monitor location of iPhone using GPS , use of iPhone microphone to trap the conversation, In addition, Vulnerabilities found in iPhone SMS function give attacker root access to handset.

  1. This is a really serious issue man! Sending a Virus by SMS. I hope such thing comes out for Symbian OS too..I will get to try some freaky things on my friends.
