How to transfer files from computers to mobile phones using bluetooth

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that enables users to transfer data files which includes photos, videos, songs etc from one device(bluetooth enabled computer) to other bluetooth enabled device (mobile phones). For this you need a computer with bluetooth technology, and an latest blue tooth supported cell phone . If your computer doesn’t have bluetooth support , you can buy a bluetooth dongle from your nearest eletronic store which may cost you approximatly $10 You will be able to transfer files very easly to your PC, and vice versa. Process is quite simple.

Step-1 :- Enable Bluetooth on your PC. To enable Bluetooth on your PC visit your control panel. You should see an option for Bluetooth devices. Select this option and make sure the technology is enabled. For some laptops you may see a separate switch to enable all radio devices; switch it ON to enable bluetooth, If you are installing a USB module (dongle), you should be able to plug it in and use it right away. If not, it should come with drivers to install (insert the CD, and install the software).


Step-2 :- Enable bluetooth on your cell phone. You should be able to find bluetooth in settings menu,select bluetooth, enable (switch ON) bluetooth . Make sure your phone is visible to others (again there will be option for this on your phone).Name your device so that it will be recognized by other device with this name.

Step-3 :- Allow the PC to search for devices. It will find your cell phone in 30 sec. If not, you can try searching for your computer with your cell phone. Give a try couple of times in case you didn’t find it on first shot.

Step-4 :- Autorize  the devices to connect by selecting YES/Approve. You will be ready to go.

Step-5 :- Enter a passcode, this is to protect you from anonymous access, so just give any 4 digit number only thing is you need to give the same passcode on the other device too to connect.

Step-6 :- Select the files on your computer that you want to transfer, You should be able to right click and select “send via bluetooth” to send files using bluetooth on your mobile.
