How to read a website using google reader- Why should I subscibe to RSS instead of email

This is how you can add a feed to your RSS reader , I am using Google Reader to read all my RSS feeds

1. Go to http://reader.google.com
2. Login using your gtalk id
3. On left side top corner you will see ” Add a subscription” button

4. Click on that and add your favorite website address there eg :- www.dotgiri.com
5. Now it is been added to your list, you can manage your subscriptions by clicking on feed setting.

6. You can create different folders like , News, Tech blogs, Film blogs etc and group it as you like.
7. You can unsubscribe by clicking unsubscribe from feed settings option.

Why should I choose RSS subscription than Email subscription

1. Your mailbox is saved – Many of the blogs are updated daily so if you email subscribe to 10 of the blogs and you are not reading your mailbox for 10 days you will have 100 mails waiting for you.
2. More easy to unsubscribe – RSS reader is more easy to unsubscribe
3. Emails are not provided to blogs and hence more safe to use RSS reader
4. You can read your articles at time from anywhere, many of the RSS readers have mobile versions
5. RSS feeds are faster, You can read articles as and when it is updated on website.
6. Less advertisement
