While preparing presentation content.

Create presentation for your audience

It means, you need to have a good knowledge about your audiance, are they technical, are they senior to you etc etc are few of them. Depending on the audience you have to prepare the content and get ready for presentation. You should understand what they want from this presentation.

Sequence the events
Always maintain a sequence for your slides and never break that order while you present it. Always maintain a flow.

Bullet points
Use Bullet-ed list in your presentations, it helps to attract your audiance.It is also easy to explain. Never pack your slides with more details which may not be attractive.

Questions
Always anticipate probable questions which may come up and get ready with the answers, so that embarrassing moments can be avoided.

While delivering the presentation

  • Always be prepared with your presentation – Pratice makes man perfect
  • Be there on time
  • Dress appropriately
  • Avoid getting tensed. Deep breath, brisk walk are few techniques to avoid tension
  • Try to memorize first few sentences, so that you can keep going
  • Control your movements, hands, feet, eyes and head.
  • Speak to the person in the back of the room
  • Have eye contact with every one if it is a smaller group
  • Don’t read out the slide, but explain it.

    Constant practice makes man perfect! I totally agree with this. So, it is encouraged to go continuously hone our presentation skills.
