IFSC CODEIf you are trying to transfer money online from one bank to other you require IFS code or IFSC to be provided while registering a new beneficiary account. Many times it is very painful to find required IFSC codes of specific banks.
Here are the few ways to find IFSC codes of required banks in India. IFSC stands for Indian Financial System Code.

Method 1

Go to RBI website mentioned below to get a consolidated XLS file with IFSC and MIRC numbers along with Address of Branches.

Consolidated IFSC Code from RBI

Bank-wise IFSC Code from RBI

Method 2
Nowadays new cheque books issued by banks have the IFSC and RTGS on its left hand bottom corner (refer the red box on the image)
hdfc-cheque
Method 3
If any of the above doesn’t work for some reason you may have to call up the respective banks and ask for their IFSC code.
