28 tips for more traffic to your website – get more visitors

As we all know traffic is most important and everyone is working to get more traffic to our websites. Here are the few tips which I use on a daily basis to get more visitors to by website. As an added bonus to new bloggers I am introducing a great e-book about “Proven traffic building system” at the end of this post. Have fun.

High quality, unique content.
Content is king – enough said

Keep adding content.
Be a regular feeder to your readers

Memorable domain name.
Use a easy to remember domain name which would invite more repeated visitors

Serious keyword research.
Do a bit of keyword research before posting your article.

Improve page titles.
Still titles are important for Google and other search engines

Organic SEO.
Trust on organic seo, means write for readers not for Google (alone)

Submit to directories.
Submit your articles to directories – may be a mini version.

Write articles for other sites.
There are many websites which accepts republishing find it and publish

Keywords in online profiles.
Use your target keywords in your online profiles – it was my secret

Invite others to publish content.
Accept guest post and give guest posts both ar equally important

Newsletter publication.
Publish your newsletters once in a while , it helps to remind your readers about you.

Be helpful in forums.
Go to different forums which relates to your niche and be helpful there. It rewards you. Have a nice signature too.

Post free ads in forums.
Find free advertisement opportunities and explore it.

Blog RSS feeds.
Link your blogs to a feed , RSS readers are increasing

Podcasting.
Podcasting is a tread now , go with the trend

Use reliable hosting.
I know all are keen in getting new articles and publishing but make sure you are hosting in a realiable server. Downtimes are bad for SERP

Internal linking.
It costs nothing other than time, do it. Its good for SERP

Chase new affiliate programs.

Care your logs.
Logs may sometimes gives you good ideas for your next post or it may help you to update the trends

Add a forum to your site.
Do you have 3000 visitors per day , then its time to think about a forum. It helps you to build a list too

Advertise yourself in your about us page. Most visited page on your would be About us.

Syndication is an art , do it. It rewards you well.

Work on Yahoo! Answers.
Yahoo answers are your answer to your traffic question

Add useful comments to blogs.
Commenting is a great hidden treasure. There are few great tips in my ebook about it

Social networking.
It is a bit boring but you need it desperately for your traffic

Create  video.
Videos can’t be ignored easily. Its the new tool, more than 55 % of internet users views videos

Email page to a friend.
Have some plugins to email your pages.
