Digg is been there for a while now, I was active in Digg for a while then for some reason I lost my interest in that. But now I am again active because it is rewarding now. I also found few great tools to digg effectively. Lets discuss those. Let me explain a successful strategy you need to follow to get most out of Digg. As we all know digg is for those who work hard and smart.

Successful Digg strategy.

1. Aim to make mutual friends who are very active
2. Digg all the submissions of your friends
3. Convert all your Fans to Mutual friends
4. Convince your Digg friends to follow this same strategy.
5. Unfriend who are not digging your submissions
6. Try to add your digg friends to your other instant messengers
7. Do every thing moderately.
8. Submit 1:100 , ie for every 100 diggs you make submit one article .

1. Aim to make mutual friends who are very active
This is very key for your success in digg, Be friends with those who are active in digg, Digg has a feature to show when a user is online or active, if a user is not active for a week or so better not to waste time on him.

2. Digg all the submissions of your friends
Digg all your friends submissions,  DiggerPlus is an excellent tool for that. you just need to type your digg user id and this tool will show all your friends submissions, just digg it and click next button.

3. Convert all your Fans to Mutual friends
If some one add you as a friend in Digg, and if you don’t add him as your friend he will continue to be your fan, but it is good if you reciprocate by adding him also as friend. Try to grow your mutual friends list.

4. Convince your Digg friends to follow this same strategy
This is very important , every friends will get digg for their own submission so collectively you will get lots of dig gs and ultimately you will get thousands of hits to your website.

5. Unfriend who are not digging your submission
clean your friends list frequently, effort you put should return values, so keep checking who is not helping you back and remove them. That way you get more ROI , return of investment :) , I use Friend Statistics for this.

6. Try to add your digg friends to your other instant messengers
This is a backup plan, you are investing your time and effort on digging so lets get more out of this, try to get more friends by this exercise, these guys may be like minded and they can help you in many other campaigns in the future.

7. Do every thing moderately
By saying all these, don’t over do it, Digg crew is monitoring any irregular activities and you may get banned if you play over smart.

8. Submit 1:100
This is very important. If you submit more , chances of losing friends are more since they don’t want to digg more articles every day.  So it is good to submit one article when you digg 100 , try to maintain this ratio. 1:150 is better and 1:200 is the best. I had seen many of the digg users submitting articles in bulk which could  do harm in long run.
