Jailbreak iOS 4 on iPhone 3G and iPod Tocuh 2 – Redsn0w 0.9.5

iPhone DEV team had published the Redsn0w 0.9.5 to jailbreak iOS 4 which is running on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G

1. Download iOS 4 firmware for iPhone 3G and iTunes 9.2
2. Install iTunes 9.2 then connect iPhone 3G to the PC/Laptop
3. Update to iOS 4 on iPhone 3G using the firmware file (Hold Alt/Option and click Update)
4. Launch Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-4 and browse to the iOS 4 firmware file.
5. Once verified, click Next and select the features to install.
6. Make sure ‘Install Cydia’ is checked and then click Next.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to boot into DFU mode.
8. Redsn0w will take care of the rest

For users who are getting blank icon for Cydia on their iPhone 3G. open Cydia, go to the sources and add http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7  repo. Reboot your Phone Now icon will be fixed
