How to take print screen shots in mac, Capturing screenshots in Mac OS X

There are several utilities available in MAX OS platform to do your screen capture. SnapZ pro from ambrosiasw is one good utility to capture screen. It had been noticed that some free options on MAC OS X had been ignored for some reason by majority of Mac users. Let us discuss few free in-build options available for screen capturing on MAC OS X

Option #1 Hold down Apple key + Shift + 3 together to take a screen shot of entire screen
Option #2 Hold down Apple key + Shift + 4 together to take  screen shot of required portion of the screen (Crosshair)
Option #3 Hold down Apple key + Shift + 4 + Space  to take the screen print of active object or window (camera icon)

Incase you get these screen shots as a PDF and you want them to convert to JPEG , then open the image , go to File –> Export and choose the option.
