Maruti suzuki India on Friday launched five of its models in CNG versions. The compact car Estilo, wagon R , multi purpose vechile Echo , mid sized sedan SX4 and most popular Alto are now available in CNG (LPG) version. These LPG varients are priced in between rs 3.23 lakh to Rs 7.47 lakh (ex-shwroom, Delhi)

Maruti suzuki launched CNG / LPG version of new Alto which was revamped recently at a price of 3.23 lakhs. The CNG version of Estilo will cost Rs 4.05 lakh , LPG version of Eeco will cost 3.64 lakhs and LPG / CNG model of Wagon R cost you Rs 4.11 lakh. The Luxury sedan SX4 LPG / CNG version costs 7.47 lakh.

This move should be considered as Maruti’s effort to re-gain the market share which was dipped below 50 % recently. Also during this fuel price hike this move is well appreciated.

Maruti mentioned these LPG cars which are newly laucned will also be having similar mileage as of its pertol versions. So these models will be much economical to Indians. The i-GPI or Intelligent Gas Port Injection bi-fuel technology offers an comfortable ride. Intelligent as it ensures more power compared to petro-fitted CNG vehicles and offers a smoother ride experience at par with that of a petrol-fuelled engine, while achieving high fuel efficiency at the same time. The factory fitted CNG vehicles score very high on safety and reliability. Maruti Suzuki CNG vehicles pass through all the quality checks, processes and systems similar to a regular car manufactured at Maruti Suzuki plants.
