dailyblogging blogging tips

Question : How you first got involved in with blogging and when?
I started off Blogging in the year 2009 with a blog named talkonsomething.com. It was owned by me & my friend. Later, due to client works, we both did’nt find enough time to blog. So decided to leave it. But the blogging passion was still urging me to start a new blog and guess what i bought the domain (www.dailyblogging.org) in February 2010. But at that time I was running busy with my client works. I wrote my first post on DailyBlogging in May 2010.

Question : Are you a full time blogger? How did you get into blogging ?
No, as I said in my Introduction I’m in the First yr. of Engg, So it’s hard for me to come up with quality posts daily. I used to read labnol when I had some free time. His writing skills encouraged me to start my own blog.

Question : Are you involved in social networking , if so which are the important networks which you think that should not be missed by any other bloggers
Yes, I’m very much involved in Twitter & Facebook. Those are the two networks which no blogger should miss out on. If you build quality friends/followers on both these Social sites, then there is no one stopping you from getting success in blogging (provided you write some original stuff)

Question : What blog(s) do you own? , can you give a simple description for those (if it is not kept secret).
I own 2 Blogs. DailyBlogging.org & Blogolution.in. Blogolution is my new blog, still havn’t found the right niche/idea for it. On the other hand DailyBlogging is going well.

Question : Are there any other blogs you regularly contribute to?
No, Recently I started Guest Posting & my firt Guest Post was on ShoutMeLoud. But I don’t believe in writing regularly for other blogs when I can do the same on my blog.

Question : What blogs or individuals inspired you most when you were first starting out – did you have any role models? Any blogger heroes?
I love what Amit Agrawal from labnol writes, So he is the real Blogging hero for me.

Question : Do you use any tools (free or paid) for link building activities, if so which one do you suggest?
Haven’t used any link building tool till now. Won’t ever use it also, because I believe in link building manually, not with the use of tools.

Question : What do you find most challenging about blogging?
Well, there are millions of blogs today. Each blogger is trying very hard to be successful. For me it’s the most challenging when I’ve to come up with unique content every day.

Question : How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog?
Most of the articles I write on my Blog are from my own experience/knowledge. But when I opened DailyBlogging, I used to refer Google News & other blogs for content.

Question : How do you track your visitors, is it Google analytics or do you use any paid tools.
Ofcourse it’s Google Analytics. I don’t trust any other metrics tool other than GA.

Question : What are your monetising methods (like adsense, inlinks, private advertisement, sponsered reviews)
Adsense & TechnoratiMedia. I removed Infolinks, since it was irritating my readers.

Question : If you are starting a new blog which would be your next niche ?
Social Media/SEO would be my next blogs niche.

Question : Do you think Pagerank plays a vital role in a blog’s life, what is your PR?
In a blog’s life, certainly PR doesn’t play any role. All depends on the traffic you get. Yes, for attracting advertisers it can help a bit. Recently due to some reason Google decreased most of the blogs PR to 0. In Feb. end I had PR 2, now it’s 0.

Question : What’s your take on sponsored reviews, which are your favourite sponsered review sites?
I don’t like to Write Sponsored Reviews. But if the product is really nice & the developer is willing to pay me bucks, then I won’t mind writing on it. On the other hand if the product does not grab my attraction & the developer pays me plently of bucks to reviews it, I would still refuse that offer.

Question : For new bloggers, do you help them with some tips ?
Blogging is all about Patience, Consistency & Belief in yourself. If you don’t have passion for Blogging, then don’t expect any outcome. I would suggest that first build some quality content & only then think about monetizing your blog.

Strictly Optional Question :  How many unique visitors per day you have & approximate monthly income from blogging
I get around 250-300 Unique Visitors as of now. I would’nt like to disclose the revenue though.
