Singapore is a shoppers paradise. Shopping centres all over the island are filled with  high end fashion brands. At the heart of this shopping paradise is Orchard Road where you will find a dizzying spread off glitzy shopping malls and designer boutiques. Singapore goods are of reasonably good quality and shopkeepers are generally honest because of strong consumer protection law. IMM Shopping Mall & Daiso -always $2

That was our last day of our Singapore trip. In the morning we went to the IMM mall which is just 10 minutes travel from my friend’s house.It is a huge mall with so many shops, restaurants and food courts. We entered into Daiso Japan stores ,where all the stuffs(cosmetics, skincare,Cute accessories,Stationary, homeware ) costs $2. There are three Daiso branches in Singapore: one at IMM Jurong and the other two at Vivo City and Plaza Singapura. We had picked up so many items from this supermart. (more…)

Our third day in Singapore we started at 10.00am to Snow city, which is just next door from my friend’s house at Jurong East. Snow city is the first permanent indoor snow centre in Singapore.Here the snow has been formed artificially. Snow City is a a combined project of the Singapore Science Centre and NTUC Income. For 1 hour Snow Play time we had to pay S$14 per person. Cameras are not allowed in the Snow Chamber.Jackets and boots will be provided before entering this winter wonderland. After visiting the colorful Paradise in the Jurong bird park, next our destination is Clarke Quay which is located along the Singapore river, and it was the center of commerce during the late 19th century. Today ,Clarke Quay  is buzzing with life and activity.This time  we decided to use MRT trains . MRT operates from 5.30am to 12.30am.Fares ranging from S$0.80 to S$1.80.Each station provides coin -operated ticket dispensers for single trips. Ez-links cards for multiple trips can also be bought at most stations and are valid for usage on buses too. Thus singaore transport facility is efficient, safe and inexpensive. Our second day in Singapore trip we decided to visit Jurong Bird Park,which is one of the world’s largest bird park with a collection of  4,600 birds across 380 species.My friend’s  apartment was next to Chinese Gardens where we stayed. For half an hour we  wandered through the Chinese Garden and  then caught a taxi to Jurong Bird Park. We reached the Jurong Bird Park at 11.00am. (more…)

As I have mentioned in my previous post we finished seeing the Singapore Zoo at 6.00pm.  We had a pizza from the restaurant inside the zoo and continued our journey towards the direction showing Night Safari. Night Safari was truly an unique experience to us to view various nocturnal animals from different parts of the world. First I thought it would be seeing another zoo in dim light. But this Night safari was very informative and the animals where very active at night. (more…)
