How to Disable / Remove most visited & recently closed tabs in Firefox / chrome after google toolbar installation

It is sometimes annoying to see the most visited pages and recently closed tabs when you open a new tab in firefox. This happens when you install google toolbar on your firefox or chrome browser. You may not be able to find an option to disable this feature in firefox options since this feature is added by google toolbar. There is a simple trick to disable this feature. (more…)

Firefox 3.6.4 was delayed a bit , but finally it is released with lots of important bug fixes and few functional upgrades. Firefox was crashing when trying to load few flash files earlier but where as Google chrome use to work fine. Install Mozilla Firefox 3.6 in Ubuntu 9.10
mozila firefox logoMozila Firefox 3.6 is released with improved speed and one click persona support. I am explaining  how I installed Mozilla on my Ubuntu 9.10. I downloaded latest mozilla firefox for linux and stored at a location on my home folder called ‘dload’. This would be a seperate installation and your old version of Firefox will be still available, but latest version is set as default. Also it will retain your old setting. (more…)

Disable google toolbar recent bookmarks on firefox.

After I install my google toolbar on Mozilla firefox,when ever I opened a new tab , it display recently opened websites , recently added bookmark and thumbnail of websites visited. This was irritating for me and this is how managed to get a blank page when I open a new tab. (more…)
